How we've made our website accessible
We're committed to making our website accessible and usable by every individual visitor.
This means we endeavour to make our website and content comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines V2.0 (WCAG); a set of usability guidelines published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
The WCAG consists of a series of recommendations for making web content accessible to as many users as possible. Specifically, the guidelines help to ensure web content is accessible to a wider range of people with disabilities, including blindness and low vision, deafness and hearing loss, learning disabilities, cognitive limitations, limited movement, speech disabilities, photosensitivity and combinations of these
We've checked our site against the WCAG checklist and we believe that every page within our site meets all applicable Priority 1, 2 and 3 checkpoints, and as such meets the WAI 'AAA' requirements.
We regularly run user testing which helps us identify and fix any usability and accessibility issues. One of the things we’re currently working on is adding transcripts to our YouTube videos.
